PADMA 28 is used on appearance of the first signs of circulatory disorders such as tingling, formication, feeling of heaviness and tension in the legs and arms, numbness of the hands and feet or calf cramps.

PADMA 28 is a remedy manufactured according to the principles of Tibetan medicine. It consists of twenty different medicinal herbs, dried and ground but otherwise unchanged, together with natural camphor and calcium sulphate. PADMA 28 has been manufactured in Switzerland for more than twenty years in accordance with the internationally recognised pharmaceutical quality guidelines PADMA 28 is obtainable in pharmacies and drugstores without medical prescription.

PADMA BASIC was designed specifically for the US market; and in 1999 it was launched as dietary supplement that promotes healthy circulation and supports the immune system.

Help from the plant kingdom
PADMA 28, with it many different active principles and protective substances, is effective in circulatory disorders resulting from arteriosclerosis. The natural variety of the active substances from plants that are contained in PADMA 28 can be classified into the following important function groups, whereby each group in turn consists of dozens of individual substances:

The tanning agents (tannins): these are antiinflammatory and antioxidative.
The vegetable dyes present in flowers, leaves and stalks (flavonoids): these support the immune functions and have antimicrobial, antinflammatory and antioxidative effects.
The essential oils (scents and aromas, terpenes): these support the digestive functions and have purifying, antimicrobial and antiinflammatory effects.
The correct combination of these plant-based protective substances also has the ability to stimulate the spontaneous healing process that is present in every organism. The whole range of the plant-based protective substances in PADMA 28 contains immune-regulating information which acts as a gentle, and at the same effective, support for the organism.

After exertion the body needs regeneration
There are various life situations that can threaten the body¹s balance: exertion peaks (such as in sport or overwork), stress situations and certain illnesses represent a special challenge for our body and can lead to increased wear. But if we then allow our body adequate periods of rest, it can build itself up again and the cells can regenerate.

An adequate intake of plant-based protective substances can ward off the negative effects of the process of decline and can shorten the regeneration time. Here, the most varied regulating impulses can be helpful for the body. The remedial herbal mixture, PADMA 28, can make a valuable contribution to this process.

PADMA 28: The application

When is PADMA 28 used?
PADMA 28 is used for the treatment of tingling, formication, heaviness and feelings of tension in the legs and arms, numbness of the hands and feet, and calf cramps.
When must PADMA 28 not be used or used only with caution?
Notify your physician, pharmacist, or druggist if you have any allergies or if you are taking any other medication (even if bought over the counter!).
May PADMA 28 be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
On the basis of the experience to date there is no known risk to the child. However, no systematic scientific studies have ever been carried out. As a precaution you should, if possible, avoid taking drugs during pregnancy and breastfeeding, or ask your physician for advice
How should PADMA 28 be used?
Unless otherwise prescribed by your physician, start with 2 tablets 3 times a day, taken with sufficient fluid thirty minutes to one hour before meals. As soon as there is a definite improvement, the dosage can be reduced to 1-2 tablets a day. People who have difficulty swallowing should dissolve the tablets in lukewarm water. If gastrointestinal problems occur, the tablets may be taken at mealtimes with plenty of fluid (preferably boiled lukewarm water). It is sometimes necessary to reduce the dose. If a physician has prescribed the tablets, discuss any alteration of the dose with him/her.
Follow the dosage given in this package insert or prescribed by your physician. If you feel that the action of the drug is too weak or too strong, consult your physician, pharmacist or druggist.
When can I expect an improvement?
There is no general answer to this question. The onset of action depends on the state of health and the constitution of the individual.
Some people already notice improvement in their well being after taking the product for two weeks, while others have experienced an improvement in their ability to walk after one to two months. After three months, at the latest, there should be a clearly noticeable improvement. The best results are achieved when PADMA 28 is taken regularly.
What are the possible side effects of PADMA 28?
Occasionally gastrointestinal symptoms may occur. In a few isolated cases, palpitations and slight restlessness have been observed in predisposed individuals.
Can PADMA 28 be taken together with other medicines?
There should be an interval of one-and-a-half to two hours between taking PADMA 28 and any other medicines
Is PADMA 28 also suitable for diabetics?
Yes, PADMA 28 is also suitable for diabetics. It also contains no lactose and is gluten-free.
For how long can PADMA 28 be taken?
PADMA 28 can be taken daily for several months.
Must the physician be informed or may PADMA 28 be used as self-medication?
PADMA 28 is obtainable without medical prescription and in principle may be used as self-medication.
In the case of self-medication, the exact cause of the symptoms should be determined and your own diagnosis must be checked. Seek the advice of your physician, your pharmacist or your druggist, especially if you think that the effect of the medication is too weak or too strong, if you have any allergies or if you are taking other medicines (especially over-the-counter medicines).
If you are already receiving medical treatment, you should in any case inform the physician that you are taking this herbal remedy. Only in this way is it possible for him to adjust your treatment to the circumstances.
May PADMA 28 be given to children?
PADMA 28 can also be given to children. The dosage is determined primarily according to the age and body weight of the child. As a rule, 1-2 tablets once or twice a day, if possibles given before meals are sufficient. The tablets are easily crushed or broken down in a little liquid and can therefore be mixed with mashed bananas or quark, for example. The product must be kept out of the reach of children.
Where can PADMA 28 be obtained? What pack sizes are available?
PADMA 28 is obtainable from pharmacies and drugstores, without a medical prescription.
Supplied in boxes of 60 and 200 and 1000 tablets.
Why does PADMA 28 have such a characteristic taste and smell?
Tibetan remedies are made up according to the doctrine of the five elements. Each substance has certain tastes, depending on the dominance of certain elements. The medicine exerts certain effects on the human organism through the taste. The taste qualities play a central role in the make- up of medicines. PADMA 28 is therefore intentionally not adapted to our Western taste habits, especially our ideas of the taste of drugs.
How is PADMA 28 manufactured?
The manufacture of herbal products must be carried out carefully and gently, if the herbs are to be able to develop their full powers. This is done in specialised production plants, where the personnel are trained in the processing of herbs.
The controlled raw materials are carefully ground, mixed and pressed into tablets. In order to pack the tablets hygienically and at the same time to protect them against moisture, they are sealed in a plastic and aluminium foil. Despite intense efforts, we have not yet succeeded in finding a more environmentally friendly packaging system that meets our high safety and quality requirements.
Where do the plants that are processed come from?
Columbine and golden cinquefoil are grown in Switzerland, according to organic farming principles. The other herbs come from different parts of Europe, India and Central America, whereby great importance is attached to sustainability aspects.
How is it ensured that PADMA 28 contains the right plants in the right amounts and is not contaminated?
The variety of the different plants and minerals makes heavy demands on Quality Assurance in the course of manufacture. PADMA AG works according to internationally recognised guidelines, the observance of which is monitored by the drug regulatory authorities.
All the raw materials, the individual stages of production and the finished products are checked by modern analytical methods, in order to be able to guarantee a high-grade product. Checks are also carried out for any possible residues of pesticides, heavy metals, bacteria, fungi and aflatoxins.
Does the product contain any fillers or preservatives?
Only those inactive ingredients that are essential for the tabletting process are used. These are small amounts of sorbitol and silicon dioxide, both completely harmless, well known substances, which also occur naturally in the plant kingdom. The tablets contain no artificial preservatives, stabilisers or colouring agents.
What is the shelf life of PADMA 28?
PADMA 28 may be used only up to the date indicated by "EXP" on the container. Keep the product in the cardboard box (protection from light), in a dry place and at room temperature (about 15 - 25°C).
