Came across this list of treatments - probably a bit out of date but a good summary.

Interesting. The only thing on their list I hadn't heard of is "trimethoprim". It's an anti-biotic used for urinary tract infections, pneumonia and travelers' diahrea. The only other reference on this site I found was a post about the Vanderbilt patents for using antibiotics to treat MS. So I assume that if it's in trials for MS, it's probably through Vanderbilt, but I can't find any other references about it.

Anybody know anything about trimethoprim for MS?

Dignan (and others),

The bit I found frustrating in the list was:

"Minocycline
Gd+ lesions reduced 84%

Also being tested with Copaxone"

Everyone seems to report good efficacy of minocycline, the drug is safe as it is prescribed for acne (sometimes for several years), yet it never seems to make it alongside the CRAB drugs as a first line therapy!
