Problem is we don't know what "non futile" means.
That would be great if they could speak with data...

Non-futile means that halfway through the trial there was sufficient efficacy seen that the researchers were justified in continuing the trial. A futility analysis is important as it prevents the research group from wasting money on a potential treatment that shows no demonstrable effect.
