This is exactly the way my neuro sounded when I even asked about oral medications. I really don't care though because as I tell my family-he's not God. I think I do more research than he does. I am currently doing okay on Rebif but I absolutely hate the injections. It's not just the pain and side effects, it's the total interruption of my life. I don't want to sound whiny because I know we're lucky to have any medications available. I just think that being able to take a pill at any time of the day with no big production would make having MS a little less horrible for me. If they come out with an oral medication that is even as effective as the CRABs, I want that chance to make up my own mind. Even if that means going to a new neuro.I can just imagine a lot of neuro's saying to their patients, "If you're doing well on CRAB X, maybe you should stick with it since we have 15-20 years of data on its side effects. Wait a while to see what the safety profile of this new med looks like after a couple of years."
