Have you thought about getting an outdoor shade for the window? We have some west facing windows in our home and we just pull down the shades during the hot summer days. It really makes a difference. At the end of the day, even the stucco wall behind the shade is much cooler than the rest of the wall that had full sun. They're just hung up on three hooks so they're easy to bring in for the winter and spring.

I am actually moving to a bedroom on the north side of the house and installing a window AC so that should pretty much take care of my problem lol

The shades will still help to keep your house cool which will lower your overall cooling costs. It's a simple way to save a little money.
