MS and memory loss

One of the most frustrating aspects of my journey thus far has been the cognitive/memory challenges that I am facing in my day-to-day life.
Today, my mother came over to help me clean out/organize my garage. As we are going through the boxes, I find the box that has the Christmas gift I bought for her over the summer while on vacation. I said to her, "hey, your Christmas gift is in this box. I am going to wrap it today and put your name on it so we can both be surprised at Christmas!"
She just laughed, hugged me, and told me that she loves me.
