But what is the book? The last title that was mentioned in this thread is from 2006.

queenie, maybe I "know" you from somewhere?

Really? How intriguing...
Marcstc from MSKK turned me on to this site.
I think we are reading Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul.
What a great title. It will be a hard act to beat!

Do you go on MSKK? I don't think I've seen you there - but then again, I have holes in my head, and black holes, at that.

Oops. You are correct, Agate. That post was from 2006!
Well, I'm gonna take a stab at the book anyway. I'm going on a little 5 day trip to Cozumel on the 17th, and was looking for some good things to read. Any suggestions?

Yes, I've been on MSKK for a year and a half now but am drifting off just now. I recognized your user name and wondered if you're the same person.

I've been on this board for a longer time but haven't posted much here at all.

Books to recommend? It depends on what you like. I keep a record of books I've read on a blog. If you want to look it over, you might find something you'd like to read.

I've posted a few times, but it seems like folks don't reply much.
Thanks for the link to your blog. I will check it out.

Agate, thanks for writing your blog, I am always interested in finding worthy books ( as in not a waste of time to read!) You made one comment about a Maeve Binchy novel, which really hit home with me...that she had her "eye on the movies". I think that is so true of many writers these days. They are either trying to get the movie deal or they are trying to be too arty. I asked my sister, why can't anybody just tell a good story anymore? Cold Mountain was good for that (even though it did become a movie), but it was a real read first.

If you havent read these then buy the "box set" and enjoy! The Vesuvius Club (ISBN 0-7432-5706-5); The Devil in Amber (ISBN 0-7432-5709-X); Black Butterfly (ISBN 0-7432-57114) The Lucifer Box‎ novels by Mark Gatiss.

Did this reading group ever get off the ground? If so..is it held on another thread? (feeling a bit thick at the minute)

Hi TardisTart,
I haven't been to this board in some years but received an e-mail about your post because I must have subscribed to the thread.

So far as I can tell, a book discussion group didn't get off the ground here.
