Censorship on this forum????

This thread will probably be deleted, but what is going on with censorship on this forum?

I posted a few replies to Concerned's thread about ethical treatment, where I basically told him he should concentrate more on finding a treatment acceptable to him for his mother instead of spending his time blasting CCSVI. I wrote nothing abusive or crazy.

I went to check replies today and all my posts disappeared! One person even posted concerned should take better care of his mother (which I thought was out of bounds) and that post wasn't even deleted.

I had a disagreement with jimmylegs months ago and was threatened by happypoet - is this my payback???

I can't believe with some of the crazy posts I have seen on this board that mine would be deleted. Have others had posts deleted?

I noticed that patientx' post was deleted from the "The First Fatality of the Liberation War" which I find very peculiar as it was to the point..it was a fact and not an attadk that Embry used the sad story to further his point whether you like him and his ideas or not is besides the point so selective censoring is what that is.

I do find it pathetic the way several people told concerned how to handle his mother I mean come who do those people think they are, but censoring them is a bit silly although technically that could be viewed as attacking a poster so it would fit a bit a bit better but the patientx post nah.

slightly veiled innuendo or sarcastic comments aimed at the poster as opposed to the content of the post, are not tolerated at This is MS. We of course reserve the right to ban or suspend any member who violates this rule.

That is baloney. REREAD MY POSTS YOU DELETED I did not say anything bad about the poster
And since you have finally decided to actually moderate this forum by picking on my posts, why would you leave the posts where the poster accuse the guy of not taking care of his mother? Thats below the belt, imho.

Are you sure this isn't just personal payback as shown in the threatening PM I got from happypoet a while ago when I questioned why this forum wasn't moderated competently?

Are you going to delete this too otr stand up to your dubious decisions?

I have been a very informative poster who has contributed to many discussions, but I guess I made a mistake in asking for better mod's for this board, you are telling me paybacks a b$tch!

there are more rules than the excerpt cited above, which related specifically to px's posted content and related discussion.

please peruse all the rules of the forum carefully. it should help clarify moderators' decision-making guidelines.

as per the rules, i invite you and all TIMS members to private message me when you see rules transgressions that have not been addressed.

Nice of you to delete happypoets PM to me that I included in my last post.

here is the message she sent me - does it really have to be deleted or can others see the politics that go on behind the scenes here?

after the first disagreement, you will rarely convince another of something they feel strongly about unless you have shocking new information to share. The drawn-out debates also turn people off from reading the messages in the first place. If you really have to get something off your chest, please send that person a Private Message-- there is no need to have a long argument in public.

If you can't back up your thoughts then you shouldn't be a moderator. And why can't you let everyone see the threatening post I received from happypoet, because then you would have to ban her?
You should re-think your ethics as to how you decide to delete posts.

TIMS moderators do not have access to private message content. yes the message content is offensive when placed in the public forum. that is why it is being and will continue to be deleted here.

and once again
as per the rules, i invite you and all TIMS members to private message me when you see rules transgressions that have not been addressed.
if you have anything more to say on this subject please feel free to send me a private message.

ok, i think everyone gets the point that you can't back up your arbitrary moderating policies in public, you want a private message.
BE FAIR-
and the private message I posted was to me, hence I have a right to make it public. If you don't like it, you should censure the author of it, happypoet, not me.
But of course you are censoring me, since I disagreed with you previously.

Again, do your job, delete the malicious posts and delete (or move) the posts that aren't relative to the ccsvi topic - don't persecute me.

For crying out loud, do either of you realize what your behavior looks like?

Edit
Jay, for you: I said I would have five friends send PMs to jimmylegs if you didn't remove the disparaging comments you posted about her. There. I hope I correctly remembered for you the contents of my PM to you. I never cared that you posted my PM on the thread, not at all.

PM me for my email address -- I know something that I think you might want to know.
