Waiting to be "officially" diagnosed...

Hi,

I have been ill for a number of months, and have finally found an excellent neurologist, after seeing a not-so-great one, who is the director of an excellent MS Clinic, who "strongly suspects" I have MS. I have 1 lesion and 1 EP. Going for another round of EP in two weeks, which he figures will give me the "official" diagnosis.

Yesterday I get a call from the clinic saying recent bloodwork shows that I have a moderate positive to anti DSDNA and that I need to be referred to yet another immunologist, just to be sure, and that my doctor still thinks it's MS...I did some research and found out that this anti DSDNA is an indicator of LUPUS. I have had this test twice in the past year, and it has always been negative. This is the only "positive" test I have had to indicate anything other than MS....

I am just dumbfounded. I finally may have an answer to why my life, profession, health and family have been ruined, and now again, maybe back to the drawing board?

Has this ever happened to any of you? What does it mean? I just don't know how much more I can take. I'm already on a million meds, about to try an elimination diet, going to a chiro, taking supplements....want to burn the walker...I'm only 37 years old with 2 children under 4....I'm at the end of my rope...and I know this is only the beginning..

HELP!
