and I am up and it's late - again - and I still don't have a Dx to know what's really going on. I am really suffering the last few days and I feel like I have no one to talk to.

I started this year pretty well untill a few months ago, when I had a severe nerve injury in my right foot. It just didnt seem to heal, and then it seemed like the numbness and pain spread to my other foot, then my hands, then my torso.

I have my first MRI coming up in less than 2 weeks and while I am not super stressed about diagnosis, I just dont know how to get through my daily life untill then. I am so frustrated and angy and depressed right now. If anyone is on right now, is there anything I can do to stop the pain short term? I can not sleep, but I need to so bad.

Thank you, n.

Welcome

I feel so much more calm today. I still wonder if anyone has suggestions for me. I am trying to come up with non-drug solutions to ease my way though the next weeks. Any good teas or suppliments? Any advice for activities untill then?

Thanks for your expertise, N.

Not sure if this will be of help but some natural ideas for helping to sleep. Try some honey, warm milk (maybe with honey), wear socks to bed, and my favorite, chocolate. :D The dark semi sweet is the best for healing etc. Linda

So sorry you are in pain.

I have been using ginger and turmeric for the last 2 days. They are natural anti-inflammatories - supposed to be good for MS - we'll see!

You can get both at the health food store. The pain comes from inflammation, so if we can get rid of that, maybe we can get rid of the pain. Since these are supplements, they may take a while to work.

Personally, if you need something to manage pain, you should consider taking it for now. If it is MS, being sleep deprived only exacerates symptoms.

Good luck!

M hope the pains are easing.

In the UK we can (with difficulty) get a decaffinated green tea and low caffine white teas. Both good antioxidents that dont keep you awake. perhaps look out for these where you are.
