Hi Everyone
First Post
I have been lurking here for about a year and a half and thought it was about time to say hello to you.
I've had ms for over 30 years and just want to let you that it possible to have ms and survive for a long time. I'm also over 60 years old and still getting around. Not as well as I used too but still getting it done. I use a cane and I also have a scooter. I don't get much use out of my scooter in the winter here in mn. In the summer it gets a lot of use. I take my two dogs out for walks with it on the local trails.
I have been on betaseron since the mid 90's. I think it helped for the first few years but I don't think it's doing much any more.
Currently my treatment interests are in ccsvi that has been discussed here at this is ms. Hoping to get treated and see if it helps me out.
So if I get treated I will post about it.
Take care all

Dan, I truly appreciate you posting here. It gives myself and other newly diagnosed a lot of hope to bear witness to someone who's had MS for so long, living a "normal" life :) I know when I was first diagnosed I longed for answers about my future, and though I know there are no guarantees, there is always HOPE :) WELCOME
