I'm new to this forum but sadly not new to MS! I think I've had since mid-teens but I was just diagnosed in the beginning of 2007. How old am I? Old enough to know better and young enough I still don't care! If it's any indication my youngest is 8 and my oldest is 25, so I went undiagnosed for a loooong time! After enough doctors think you're a hypochondriac you tend to start to think they're right and just stop complaining - at least until you lose all feeling from the chest down on one side of your body! After 3 days in the emergency room and another two in an actual bed they sent me home still undiagnosed, but at least they finally did an MRI of my head and spine and when they did another a few months later that showed a new lesion they finally could tell me what's been wrong with me for so many years! My first reaction was actually relief at finally knowing what was wrong! It's been all downhill since then - I hardly use my cane anymore and use my walker almost all the time instead; I'm trying to find out how to go about getting a scooter or motorized wheelchair. I haven't been able to work for a couple of years because I never know when I will suddenly have to go lay down and be unable to function. I'm looking forward to surfing your site to find out all I can about things like CCSVI(which I haven't had treated yet but plan to), LDN, a good MS diet and anything else that catches my eye!
It is refreshing to see statements and opinions (pro- and anti- CCSVI as one example) without a descent into the name calling and cat-fighting that occurs on some websites....I think it is probably instigated by trolls and hackers because of the harshness and hurtfulness of their comments! Incidentally, I like your '5 steps for dealing with trolls'!
Keep it safe, simple and friendly!
