Hi to the gang!

I am very lucky, at age 52, having my 4th MS episode. After falling at work, I broke my left wrist. Two weeks later, woke up with double vision, no balance, etc. After years of denial, MRI confirmed (what I already knew) Hit the internet and was blown away by all the info now available! Reading about all your symptoms, I'm amazed how it all sounds familiar. Solumedrol drip,and taper down of oral meds, and luckily I'm bact to "normal". although it is slowing down my wrist healing. Hoping to back to work soon. It is great to know that you all are out there. We can go thru it all together!

Welcome to This is MS. It's wonderful the IV solumedrol seems to be working so well for you. I've been lucky I guess so far and haven't had the opportunity to try it. Of course, I'm really hoping I never get that opportunity.
There is lots of info and this is a great place to find it.

Thanks Sharon, It is a comforting feeling that there are others out in the wobbling rowboats adrift in big scarey ocean. I'm at the point where I can't decide if my in frequent minor symptoms justify starting Rebif, or just wait everything out. Luckily I've had 29 years since my first episode, with a 15 yr. intermisson, between my 3rd and this flareup. I can't decide if my constant optimison should continue to win out, or am I being foolish? Comments are welcomed! Linda

Yeah, seems there are quite a few of us in this ocean.
It is really hard to know what to do. Altho once I was diagnosed I really didn't question going onto one of the CRAB drugs, but then I'm basically a chicken. I wouldn't have the courage not to.
Plus, I'm trying very hard to give management of MS the best shot I can (no pun intended
) with available information. It seems for some people with RRMS the CRAB drugs do decrease the number/severity of relapses and delay progression to disability. With your history it sure sounds like you're in the RRMS group. So, I guess my advice would be to give Rebif some serious thought.
I've been "checking out" MS since last fall when I was diagnosed and it seems to me there are a fair number of people who advise starting treatment sooner rather than later. Hopefully others who know more than I do will chime in here.
