My name is Butch, I don't have MS but I'm dealing with my Aunt whom has MS and I take care of her a lot, and speak with the doctors etc. I found this site, wanted to look and some things that took her and me both months to learn I have seen on here in an hour's time reading

I'm gonna have her create a log in also, but sometimes typing can be difficult with the MS on top of two pinched nerves and a fractured L4 from a recent fall (Due to MS, leg shaking)

She is currently on some pain meds for the back issue, Vallium which really helps her legs through the day, and one shot a day of Copaxone. Twenty minutes after the shop her legs are MUCH MUCH stronger. I'm wondering, since the Copaxone works so fast, are there other suggestions

Thank You Butch (Aunt Pat would also say Thanks In Advance)

Welcome to ThisIsMS, Butch (and your aunt Pat, too). You have found a group of new, supportive friends. There is LOTS of information here – you and your aunt will find it very interesting. I commend you for caring about your aunt and being so helpful to her.

Since typing is difficult for her at times, you might investigate speech- or voice-recognition programs. I know that many Windows operating systems have a voice-recognition program already in them. There is also a speech-recognition program called Dragon NaturallySpeaking that can be purchased separately.

We are glad that you have joined us.
