Hello! I'm so glad I found this forum and I look forward to becoming a part of your "family"!
I'm a 40 year old mom of 3 boys, 1 stepson, and 1 stepdaughter, plus 3 furry babies (dogs). My husband and I live in Denver - I'm a Reiki Practioner/Admin. Asst. and he's a Massage Therapist/Manager.
We've been on this journey for the last 2.5 years and are still in Limbo Land. Have had every blood test known to man - all negative and/or normal, plus an MRI which came back totally clear. My doc feels that my lesions are on my spine and that I do have MS because of my symptoms, but we're waiting for new insurance to kick in before we can do further testing. We'll see what happens. I haven't always been patient with this not knowing, but I'll know when I'll know.
My symptoms are: leg numbness/weakness, cog fog, the "HUG" (I'll never get that name), optic neuritis, arm/shoulder numbness/weakness, nerve pain, vertigo, fatigue.
I've decided to take the holistic approach and am following the Swank Diet. I "fell off the wagon" for about 9 months, but I'm back in the saddle, so to speak, and trying to take good care.
I'm in the middle of a horrible flare-up right now, which brought me back to my sense and gave me a good, swift kick in the butt! I let myself push too hard and then I pay for it, and this one's a doozy. It's all about balance....sigh.
I hope this finds all of you healthy and as symptom free as possible!
