feel rather rude not mentioning how i was diagnosed everyone else has, so here goes.

at 19 i was ( still am) working a call center so around september, i was walking to work and i felt a warm sensation down my left leg (in all seriousness it felt like i peed myself) was so unusual so i brought it up withmy doctor who told me it was a trapped nerve, so a few days went by and i noticed the same feeling up the entire left side of my body, just shrugged it off and left it so after a week of feeling like this i began walking to work i collapsed outside my door, and had to be taken to A+E where i was checked over and over reactions an everything checked they kept me in which pretty much for the next 3 months are a blank to me i can't remember anything i don't know if it's the memory being pushed into the subconcious because it was pretty traumatising, or because the ms did really effect my memory around this time. got transfered to 3 different hospitals the second one im told had to put me in a room of my own so they could watch me 24/7 because i'd forget i couldn't walk and try to get out of bed, quite funny when i think back to it. after three doses of steroids and 7 tysabri transfusions my lifes began to turn normal i can walk, see, talk and move my arms but i still get very very tired and forget too much, i figure my brains like any muscle i just need to keep working with it and make it strong, so thats my short story from what i can remember.

Thanks for sharing your story. I can see how it would indeed be tramautizing for you. Maybe it is a good thing you don't remember much about it! :)

Glad you are better now and let's hope your progression slows or stops for a while. There are some promising treatments coming out, so let's hope you will be able to lead a pretty normal life.

Be sure to get on a good MS diet; take your vit D3 and malic acid, etc.

i heard about vit D but never malic acid, i just kept brushing the fact i have MS under the rug so i dont know how much my diet will effect it, fguess i should do some supliment shopping and homework, because no matter how much i put it under the rug, it's still going to be there to bite me. so yeah, thanksk for the advice i'll certainly look into those! :D

Check out the Natural Approach board here. There is a good nutritional board on another MS website.

Basically search on LDN and on Malic Acid for other suggestions. Recognize, of course, that many of these treatments have not necessarily been scientifically tested and may or may not work. D3 is indeed something you need to be on, but note if you take D3, you will need to take Zn, which means you need to take copper and magnesium, which means...... It can get complicated, but people are here to help.

you'll be a lucky man if you have a GP that's on top of the nutritional stuff. hope you're that fortunate! wish everyone was.
