i am 45 years old and diagnosed with ms.

i just went thru 6 days of solu medrol ending on Tuesday and started pred tapper.

Are the symptoms supposed to be getting better?

Im fatigued but can't sleep. I can't work b/c I can barely type.

Is this normal?

Dear rocking,

you found a place full of helpful individuals. Everyone has their views, but you will certainly find great information here. I know I have.

I am far from an expert, but I know it is normal to have problems with sleep while on solumedrol. The taper on pred would have the same effect except to a lesser extent. Those are powerful drugs that are supposed to give your body a real kick.

As fas as symptoms, from my experience... time my dear, time. And patience. You will probably go back to normal or close to normal. But it will take weeks or months. Be patient and take care of yourself in the meantime.

So, in a nutshell, yes, everything you are describing is normal.

People have different symptoms but I experience extreme fatique. MS is caused by enviromental toxins. If you can find out what is making you sick you have a chance to get better. A holistic doctor can help you with this. If you decide to take the drugs check out this video first.
