sorry to hear you're having these troubles esp at this time of yr. i can't say whether or not you'll get an ms dx. all i can say is that if there's room to improve your lifestyle including activity level, diet and nutrition etc, it can only get better. so that said here's what i can offer on the points you have highlighted.

so. plantar fasciitis first. i know that i had one before, that i went on a major nutritional overhaul, that it went away, and that it is back to some degree and i am not sure which of my many efforts had to do with the biggest improvement. i have read that anti inflammatory nutrition such as vitamin E and selenium can be beneficial. fyi choose E rich foods before any supplement, and if you choose a supplement ensure it is the very best quality. poor quality E supps can be dangerous. i would look at anti-proliferative nutrients as well. such as zinc. i also know someone who made some nutritional alterations in response to a similar problem and only noticed an improvement with a significant infusion of supplemental vit C. this person had low intakes of fresh fruit and veg, cooked, raw or otherwise.

wish i could find more science on the nutrition for this. but for now, that's all i got!

thyroid gain. you mean thyroid weight gain? hypothyroid? if so, i'd be looking at serum zinc first for that one.

re bone spurs, i would look at serum vit d3, calcium, magnesium and zinc status.

re hyperreflexia, that says look at serum magnesium as well.

if you post your typical diet including fluids, i can assess for potential nutrient depletion issues from insufficient intakes or potential nutrient malabsorption due to food combinations etc.

here's what i think about ms in specific and health in general http://www.thisisms.com/forum/regimens- ... c2489.html

hth!

Thanks for the info . I was trying to say I thought my thyroid again, as I have had a goiter and partial thyroid removed. Planter facticus is pain in your heel but mine wasn't in my heel it was and still in my toes and the ball of my feet. My whole right side has extreme pain trouble walking, grasping items, focusing. I know my change in diet will be one thing to do but I am an active person. Hopefully Friday I will get results so that I can get some results .

all right. re thyroid ask the docs if they'll test serum iodine and serum zinc. both related to goiter. not sure what the ramifications of thyroidectomy might be.

last pain i had in the ball of my foot and the toes, occurred at the same time i was eating high volumes of swiss chard and rhubarb. both high in oxalic acid. did some experimenting going back and forth and it does appear the transiently high dietary oxalic acid was responsible.

activity is great, and the link i posted has tons of info on pursuing health via nutritional blood tests. it's extremely unlikely that these tests would be ordered by your doc unless you ask specifically.

anecdotal backup for what i'm saying: i have a friend who went through yrs of meds and even a surgery for chronic pain and finally after my mentioning magnesium for yrs (b/c clearly dietary intake was insufficient and unchanging) i finally just went and bought her the best magnesium supplement i could get my hands on. result, relief at long last.
