God made our bodies so we can cure the disease we have if we listen to what he has told us.
Yes, true we have to listen to HIM, we should ask HIM what to do, not just listening to our body with our own strength.
How do you think we cure disease? It would be very sad if there was no hope.
Yes, HOPE is a powerful medicine. But God doesn't want to give us only the "good" one, HE wants to give us the "best" one. Solving the symptomps is just the "good" one, but solving the illness is the "best" one.
Birth defects are the result of a toxin in the mothers body. Maybe mercury fillings, maybe a vaccine, maybe something in the food, air, or water, maybe a drug, maybe alcohol or maybe a virus. The developing babies do not have as much of a resistance to toxins as the mother. That is why it is so important for the mother to stay as healthy as she can.
So, how to fix the problem which the baby has (the birth defects that causing a disease) not the mother's?
God did not intend for these babies to be borned with defects.
But, quotes from the Bible :
1. John 9:1-3 (As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.)

2. Job 2:3 (Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason.”)

3. Job 2:7 (So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head.)

Should i make the conclusion from the above quotes? God lets sufferings (e.g. diseases) happen to people for so many reasons, so HIS works could be done through us or to test us.

Thank you want2bike.

How we interpet what God has told us is up to each of us. I do not believe God wants any of us to suffer. Maybe Satan is the toxins we put in our bodies. Maybe when you follow the instructions he gave Adam and Eve about eating the fruits and vegetables you get better. I have said before you cannot cure everything with diet. My thoughts are diet is the only chance we have. I have the belief and hope for all of us that if we find the right diet our bodies can heal. I have given many instances of people who have healed disease with diet and it is possible. I hope you can find that diet and get better.

Dear want2bike,

I like u coz u're just like my best friend from work. She is really "stubborn"...hahaha. Pardon me.

Would u like me to show u, two cases that i found from this forum that show that diet doesn't work for them?

16 years ago trying to obtain organic food was nearly impossible. I got fruit, vegetables and meat delivered and spent the rest of my time trailing round health food shops to obtain expensive gluten free, dairy free foods. Now I buy it all in the local supermarket.

Over the next 10 years, despite sticking to my healthy eating plan, my health continued to deteriorate and I became more physically disabled. After a nasty fall I reluctantly accepted that I was not coping and spent 2 weeks in the local cottage hospital. There I realised the best and safest ways to get around was in a wheelchair.

I'm hoping to get some feedback on my regime. I'm battling optic neuritis (original flare was in March 2012 with improvement but not full recovery and then a worsening in December).

I exercise 5x a week for 45 minutes (running, elliptical, biking) plus 2x a week yoga
I eat gluten & dairy free, tons of green smoothies, fresh fruit and veg, salmon and lean red meats.
I also add to my smoothies coconut oil, dulse flakes, spirulina, aloe juice, hemp hearts and
Chia.

My supplements include: (mostly natural factors brands)
- 2x Sisu Multiexpecting (prenatal vitamin. Prenatal due to consistent low iron)
- 3x lecithin
-3x cod liver oil
- 1x PS
- 2x Udos Blend (3-6-9)
- 2x Vitazan Sterols & Sterolins
- 4000IU Vit D
- 1x Zinc
- 2x probiotics
- 1x coenzyme Q10
- 1x sublingual B12
- 1x Potassium Citrate
- magnesium citrate powder before bed for sleep

Then how about this verse :
1. Lamentations 3:33 (For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone.)

2. 2 Corinthians 12:7-9 (7 or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.)

I don't have to explain to u about those verses yeah? It's quite obvious.

Hey, to remind u again, i also following the healthy diet as best as i can. But i have many limitations so i might not be able to do it perfectly.

U should consider to have more open mind that not all disease can be solve by diet alone. And there's another options beside diet that we could search if we know what really causing our disease (in my case, MS).

Thank you.

Diet is not the only thing to consider to get healthy. Dr. Lorraine Day explains the ten things she considered when beating cancer. Dr. Bergman tells you the 5 things you must consider consider when address your autoimmune disease. You just have to keep trying until you find out what works for you. I have given you all the information I have so good luck on whatever you choose to do.

Dear want2bike,

Thank u for all the important informations u shared with me.

Maybe it's too early for me to tell that diet won't work for me. But i know something from my experience which is. We mustn't force ourselves to do something that other people says us to do, when our body tells us that whatever we do is not working, then we need another help. Maybe what we think that can help us, it's just not the way out for us.

Like u said diet can't help all diseases, but it can help us to have healthier body from what has been damaged.

U have found ur answer want2bike n u should be grateful for that.

But disease is something u couldn't prevent from happening just by using ur own efforts.

Hope u always have a happy n healthy life want2bike.
