Hi everyone,
My name's Lee, I'm 30 years old and for the last year and half or so I've been having severe Erectile Dysfunction. Even with the use of Viagra its difficult to stay hard enough for sex. I have not been diagnosed with MS nor has my doctors brought it up but after extensive google research I believe it's something I should ask my doctors about.
Besides my severe ED and lack of sex drive, I have had excess dribble after urinating (my brother has this as well, this started about 8 years ago), pressure in the ears (comes and goes, I did have tubes in my ears as a kid with frequent ear aches), tingling in the hands and feet (temporary goes away with movement), frequent fatigue, depression, anxiety, I also have some eye floaters at times. Most of these symptoms started when I was 14 or 15.
I have been diagnosed with low testosterone as well as low fsh and lh levels but from what I've heard low t by itself is rarely the cause of ed. I've also never had a great libido and have and some ed problems on and off since I was 20 but the severity and suddenness of the lack of libido and ED is what has caused me concern. All my thyroid levels were fine but I did have TPO antibodies, I'm not sure what that means and I'm not diabetic. I've also been diagnosed as bipolar at 11 and have had mental health issues since I was 6 or so.
I'd really like some help determining what tests I can have performed to rule out MS. I'm currently seeing a endo/urologist for this issue, should I get a referral to a neurologist? Also if there are any men who have ms and ed problems gave you give me some insight on how your ED came about, was it sudden, gradual, etc. Have you had any success in treating it?
I'm otherwise healthy except for being overweight, depressed and anxious about my ED and thinking about a number of possible causes. Any advice anybody can give me would be appreciated.
Thanks!
