Err, is there a "right" way to be sick?

Hi All,I am 19 years old and was DX'd at age 14. I never actually post on forums, so not quite sure how it works... I guess I'm just looking some support and tactics to stay positive. (as many of you probably know, the daily grind of living with MS can ware even a warrior down). Also, I've been through just about every dmd (Rebif. Copaxone, Tysabri, Gilenya, Tecfidera, Plasmapheresis...) and none of them seem to make any headway in the direction of slowing down my very over-eager immune system... Has anyone had experiences like this?  Hope this finds y'all doing well and in good spirits!Cheers.

Hi, shevroletti. Hope you've had a chance to look around. My son has opted for the present to forego the standard treatment of DMD's and instead treat with what would best be called an enhanced-natural approach. By this I mean diet and supplementation. The diet is a Dr. Terry Wahls/ketogenic hybrid, and supplements include B-complex, calcium/magnesium/zinc, vitamin D3 (which I just learned today on this site might be better served with a calcitriol/D3 mix than D3 alone), alpha-lipoic acid, inosine, resveratrol, N-acetylcysteine, and LDN (low dose naltrexone). All of the supplements, with the exception of LDN, are either naturally derived or synthetic-yet-chemically-identical to natural, at least to the best of my knowledge. That being the case, I can't offer any help concerning your experiences with DMD's, but there are a lot of members on this site who can. If you have a specific question, about Tysabri perhaps, go to that thread and post. Good luck!

Hi,
I too have tried rebif, gilenya, tysabri, tecfidera and a test subject for biogen. Unfortunately, all had too many side effects for me. I have only found relief with medicinal marijuana, hope you're not "offended"....but it is truly the only thing that has helped me with pain, strength, balance and depression. I take cannabinoid capsules and/or edibles. Are you anywhere it is legal?
