Hello everyone!
I feel so refreshed to have found this site. I was DX in Sep 2002 with RRMS which seems to have progressed quite rapidly. I have been on all the C.R.A.B. drugs and am currently on Tysabri. My symptoms have included Optic nueritis, Numbness and tingling in the legs and feet, loss of balance, speech and swallowing problems, hearing problems, loss of use of hands and fingers, memory and cognitive issues. Fortunately I have recovered mostly from many of these symptoms yet I remain in a wheelchair currently. I am married to my dream wife, no children but several pets. I am not employed. I am a Veteran. I was in sales when DX'd 3 months after being married and I am 34 years old. I have explored some Alternative therapies with nominal results. I am interested in talking with patients who feel cured through Alternative Medicine. Please contact me if this applies to you. Thank you and God bless

Welcome MSresearcher, glad you found this site!

I don't have MS, my wife does and in fact is a participant in the Tovaxin IIb clinical trial.

I hope you find better results with Tysabri than you did with the crabs.

I'm sure you'll have the chance to correspond with at least several people who feel they've found positive results using alternative therapies.

Thank you for the reply!

I havent had much luck with other members wishing to discuss any natural remedys. I have found here that these discussions are nipped in the butt pretty rapidly by moderaters at this website an "unbiased forum". Perhaps thier intentions are to keep people from getting ripped off. I can't blame them for that.

I have a friend that walked 4 miles after his 3rd infusion of Tysabri. He was shuffling his feet prior to that barely 300 feet. So there is some encouraging news there. I have also heard similar stories from the doc at the infusion center

Hi MSresearcher,
The moderators here really do have a hands off approach as much as possible. About the only times they get involved are unsubstantiated claims, suspected rip offs and when someone goes over the line in disrespecting another member.

Better things are on the way and right now it's important to stop/stall disability until then. Hopefully Tysabri can do that for you.

Thanks for your reply.

I had a simple misunderstanding that has been cleared up. I guess I am just too paranoid about Drug Company and other influences. Just cause it says unbiased. There are more lies like that lingering around. After discussing my concerns and clearing it up an apology was made and i certainly hope it was accepted. I am very happy with this site and am alot more comfortable with recommending this site to others

Thank you
Lyon

I don't blame you a bit MSresearcher.

I don't consider myself a troublemaker but before finding this site I was kicked off another MS site for questioning the volunteer moderators so I understand where you are coming from but this site isn't like that. Unlike some of the other sites, Aaron and NHE really are moderators and not terminators.....well, on occasion NHE has been known to slide the dark sunglasses down a little and say "I'll be baaaaacckkk!"
