Hello all!
I have been surfing these message boards over the past week or so since my RRMS diagnosis. I am a 47 year old female with two children (ages 6 and 9) and a very supportive husband. It appears from the MRI, historical symptoms and medical history, that I have had this for some time. I have no active lesions and I am starting to feel better and the bad symptoms are starting to subside.
My drugs arrived today and I start my meds this weekend. Mostly I am experiencing some anxiety about the anticipation of the meds and just want to get it over with.
Over the past year I have been very disciplined about my diet. I have been gluten free for over a year and now beginning to limit my dairy. I don't drink or smoke. I exercise regularly, but my ability to walk has been substantially compromised recently. Depression has been part of my life for a long period of time and walking has always be helpful to me....so it is scary to have trouble with that. I am hopeful that time will help that improve.
I look forward to the relationships with others on this board and to learn and explore a full range of ideas that have helped others feel better mentally and physically and to better manage the daily issues with MS. Thank you!
