Hey everyone! :) I have had MS like symptoms for 9 years and last two years progressed. I'm 42 now. I went to a Neuro in August 04 and got a Brain MRI and neck/back to look for lesions. They found one 7mm X 9mm lesion on the brain. Supposedly in the Vision area. I have no vision problems. Here's what happened 9 years ago.

I was driving and felt as if blacking out but didn't. Then my legs did tremors and right leg stayed numb ever since. Soon after that episode, I got up one morning and felt dizzy and laid back down. Then I had a strange short circuiting feeling go thru the right side of my body. Then the right side stayed numb. A couple of other times I woke up with one leg doing tremors and other times felt bizarre feelings in my head. Last two years my whole body went numb, got the pins and needles sensation, pain in legs/feet/arms/hands, major fatigue, this summer got the shocking sensation and the heat made all symptoms more noticable. Off balanced, can't think/disoriented, felt like bugs crawling in my hair, legs would give out some while walking. Can't recall what else right now but I don't have bladder/bowel problems, thankfully.

The Neuro hasn't dxed me yet with just one lesion and only scheduled a followup in Feb. Sooooo, I have been on-line b/c I've done my own followups for 9 damn years!! Don't plan to wait 9 more and be disfunctional. All he offered was a frickin antidepressant that suppose to help with pain, NO THANKS!! I 'm now taking 4.5mgs. of LDN for 19 nights. I was sick with a respiratory illness for the 1st two weeks so not even sure how the LDN affected me. I have taken benedryl to sleep some if I can't sleep. I got the Revia from medsmex since I haven't mentioned the LDN yet to my Neuro. I would like to try the compounded way some day to compare. I'm hoping the LDN will give me energy some talk about but so far has not. I've know for the nine years something was very wrong but waited til symptom progressed b/c 9 years a go a stupid doc told me probably stress which pissed my off BAD!! Even if stress has a part in it, you just don't leave it at that. Oh, he offered the overly prescribed antidepressants also. The docs think that is the answer for everything. Put you in a FOG so you don't care or know what is happening. That's my story.

hi Rhonda, and welcome to the community. Congratulations on being proactive-- many have discovered that relying on their busy doctors to keep up with the vanguard in treatments and research is simply not sufficient.
