Hello,
My name is Michele and I was just diagnosed with MS in Dec 2009. The diagnosis I should say was 98% confirmed after my spinal tap results. I thought it was a long haul in the waiting game with seeing all the DR's and waiting on all the tests but boy I had no idea that was just the beginning. I'm 26 years old and I have not started taking any medicine yet we're in the mist of researching them and finding what works best for me. I have the best support system. my husband Tristan( which he actually found the site) He is the best, we have been married since June of 2007 however we have been together since we were in 9th grade, but he is truly not only my husband and soul mate but also my best friend. He has been by my side through this whole process. My whole family has been awesome. We doo not have any kids yet but hopefully in the near future. I'm an Insurance agent and I also go to school full time (online).
Its kinda weird how things work out Feb 14th 2009 I was in a car accident I was t-boned on my side(driver side). A couple days after the accident my whole body was in pain the Dr's said whip lash, gave me some pain pills and sent me on my way. I gave it a a few weeks and My pain was every where my neck and back. So that particular Dr referred me to a orthopedic dr which I was under her care for a while , she sent me through physical therapy for about 3months and I had like 2 mris one of my lower back and the other one of my spinal cord which they found a lesion which led the orthopedic dr referred me to a neurologist and he had me get a mri of my brain which also came back with lesions. So he was pretty sure that ms was what I had but wanted us to get a second opinion so referred us to another Neurologist and I had blood work done, an exam, and then my spinal tap. I had fell down stairs Nov 2008 and had an episode where my leg was tingling and burning and my foot went numb but the Dr's then said it was my sciatic nerve and it went away a few weeks later come to find out the Dr's said that was probaly my first or one of the first events. This past year has been exhausting to say the least. I am going to stop rambling on and on in my intro and save it for the forums. I really look forward to talking with everyone! :D

Welcome Chele83-
This is an incredible site--I joined in end of Nov 09, and still going thru the older threads, and getting helpful info there, as well as from all the newer ones. New ideas here, and many different ways to heal...

Thank you! I have found more information in the last 48 hours than I have in the last 6 months of this process. This site is awesome and everyone is so friendly. Have you started taking medicine yet?

Thanks
Chele
