So I know that I have been hit or miss on the forums here, honestly it is my fault, and I have no one to blame but myself. But I just wanted to share a little story to some of those and hopefully give some of those who need a little encouragement.

About six months ago (January) I switched neurologists and got weighed 196lbs...now I am 5'6''male, and this was the most that I have ever weighed. So this was a complete shocker to me. I told myself that I had to do something. I vowed that I was going to lose weight, apparently the "one upstairs" had different ideas and I was struck with a relapse and in bed and out of work for the whole month of February.

During that time I vowed that when/if I could get out of bed things were going to change. So when I was able to get out of bed I got to doing some research. What was the best thing for me to do. I finally decided that I would do the P90x workout/modified of course. For those of you that don't know what it is; it is an extreme no joke hardcore workout and diet plan. I am not following it to a T but it has done wonders for me, basically I still eat all 5 food groups, but in smaller portions, I eat every 2 hours (which is the hardest thing of all-haha). I workout 3-5 times a week and take the other days off. So like I said I am not doing the total workout.

Anyways I have about two weeks left in the program of the 13 week course and I have lost 45lbs so far. When my leg hurts too bad to workout I swim which still provides some cardio exercise without having to put strain on my leg. I wish that I could say that my "tiredness" has gone away but there are days that I could just stay in bed all day, but I tell myself that I just have to fight through it.

So I just wanted to post up here and hopefully someone will read this and find the strength to get out there and make something happen for themselves. If anyone wants any details as to any of the diet plans I am following please do not hesitate to PM me, I would be glad to help, as there are some things I have found that seem to aggravate the MS and some that have actually helped my MS, I am sure it is different for each person as this is a fickle disease, but I think I have found something that works for me and would be happy to help anyone I can!!

Wallace,

CONGRATULATIONS!

That is a huge accomplishment. I get scared even watching the commercials for P90X.

They have a more bite sized program that I think is called beach body, it's a 10 minute workout, based on the same principles.

Wow, good for you!
