Hello folks,

The brain fog kinda comes and goes Barbara, Sarah The fatique has subsided, and that was welcomed. Other than that nothing earth shattering yet.

Its one thing to read it but you should've lived it, it was a joke by it's self. The medical profession in the states and probably elsewhere, has no clue what / or how to deal w/ this disease. They just know that it's incurable, so what do you know. It doesn’t seem that they even want to try or help you try.

This story is not all off the story. At last count I believe I have 12 or 13 MD's that I have seen over the past three years or so and you hear the same thing from most except my local Nero, Doc. Warren and Doc. Sriram. Doc. Warren knows the ultimate outcome and is willing to help you try about anything. I wish I had meet up with Doc. Sriram 2 years ago, and had got on the treatment back then and this may not have progressed as far as it has. Well that's water under the bridge; let’s hope the future is a little brighter.

Sarah and Jim, I will post it on cpn later today.

Stay away Central Ave. Barbara, those guy's from the south don't know how to drive on the snow either.

8/21 on the flagyl, this stuff is starting to taste good. right!!

Hello folks,

Ok, first it was MS, now last week UK was handed it head by North Carolina now by Indiana, how much worst does it get? It's a long way to March though, enjoy it while you can.

Roy

You can write the comedy for the reunion! David can play the Mad Scientist, Sarah his beautiful assistant, Marie the nurse, Barbara ???. I will cheer.

Enjoyed your story. You have stamina and resilience!

Roy,
You lost me in your last post. What are you talking about?

ICE - I think he was talking about the plane on Central Avenue skidding on the snow??? Oh, no, the LAST post! It was about some (I'm guessing a team near and dear to his heart) sports team losing and losing again.

Be strong, Roy! ;-) MacKintosh

Roy, A sure sign the abx therapy is working is when you get outside yourself and start caring about things like sports teams, or, in my case, rehab/restoration of old buildings. Basically, somewhere along the line you realize you're 'busy' with other things besides your health. :-) This is a really good thing for you, even if your team does seem to be going down the tubes.... ;-)

Hello folks,

You don't have to write the comedy, just relive a typical MS day Rica.

Sorry Barbara that did come out of nowhere. Your are correct Mac. This house bleeds blue and white for the Kentucky Wildcats basketball. Well in the last two weeks the NC Tar Heels and the Hoosiers have beaten the socks off the Wildcats. I mean just how bad can things get.

Glad you enjoyed the short version. One of these days I'll finish the long version and you'll have the rest of the story.

Hello Rica,

What have you been taking for your abx protocol? I thought I remember somewhere you posted, Doxy, Rifampin, azithromyin and flagyl. If this is correct has the doxy helped or hindered. One more question how long have you been on this.

Hi Roy

In Sept 2004 I began with Rifampin 300mg 2xd and Doxy 100 2xd and have continued every day with those except for Feb. 2005 when my LFT were so high it scared my dr. We have learned since it is the Avonex that raises the LFT. When it happened a second time in Aug I looked at the calendar and realized what had happened, went the following week BEFORE my Avonex and everything was normal. It has all been a learning experience. You've had a few of those- you understand!

I added Azithromycin, 250mg 3x week a few months ago after contacting Dr. Stratton because it seemed recovery had reached a plateau. I do believe it has picked up again. Last time I did Flagyl wes 2 weeks instead of 3 because of a buildup of ?, that was driving my legs to ......Very strange, but it has gone with the fog.

Incidentally, my latest LFT were assessed under all 4 abx.

Did I, after all, post the thing about your writing the comedy for the reunion? I thought I deleted it.

Roy, That's wonderful!! See, we can do it if we do it together!

Rica, I love the 'voluntary bad luck' quote.

Happy Christmas, everyone, and next year's will be all that much better for our having found the cure!
