Hi Sarah..I have discovered (thanks to my chiro) I have been living with the many effects of a neck injury from years ago...I am still w/c bound but making huge progress (also on iodine therapy for my damaged thyroid) I'm able to walk a bit now at night and am making progress in many other areas as well! It amazes me how far-reaching simple damage

Katie, yes, I'm doing fine with the abx. In fact I finished last June and have had no recurrence of symtoms since. I am very grateful that I had no real lesions in th spine. They were starting to creep down, because I had begun to get l'Hermittes, but had no neck injury, unlike my mother and grandmother. You are very persistent and deserve to do well. If I might say so, you sound so much brighter than when you last wrote. That is a good sign.

thank you Sarah for the encouragement...Glad to hear you are doing well. i have lesions at c1,2.&3 as well as inflamation in the brain according to MRI..dr. thinks from trauma....so have lots to work on..Having the atlas adjusted seems to be helping symptos alot..Stay well , katie

Hi my sis has been recently diagnosed with MS (relapse remiting). I read the article that Kate45 referred to and the results look so promising. Has any one else tried this approach in the UK?? and how are you so far Katie45? I'm wondering why the uptake with this procedure hasn't been greater - perhaps it's the cost involved? Any information received appreciated. Cheers!

AMAZING results for me. Early Dec was the Atlas adjustment that worked miracles for me. Still holding! (do go for follow up every 2 weeks---soon will be every 3 weeks (due to insurance limitations).

I just now read this current thread, and what is happening of course is this site is so big, a number of topics contain similar info, posted at different times. Trying to read them all is a huge undertaking, but I'm trying. Learn loads this way.

Yes, I have tried it. I went to a lady in the UK called Heidi based in London.

I have to be honest, whenever anyone messes with my bones in anyway I seem to have relapses. I have tried a few times by going to osteopaths and then NUCCA but it seems to trigger something for me. I am now looking into CCSVI to see if there is a blockage somewhere.

Interesting--I had seen a # of chiropractors over the years, and either not helped or felt worse.
But I will say, getting the atlas to now remain adjusted is for me a miracle. Walk, talk, and think better.
Possibly you did not get good adjustments? The neck is NOT easy to adjust, have to have someone who really knows it.
Also, the orthoganal chiros use a machine only, that is super-precise in aligning you neck correctly-have only heard good about that venue. That would have been my next step, but luckily the chiro did it correctly, because the orthogonal is expensive.
what i think is that the Atlas was pressing on my jugulars and on arteries also, and so pain, and all the rest--something is definitely released with the work done on me. I'm beginning to think the CCSVI can possibly be corrected for many by correct neck and head adjustments, and then chelation and good food and nutrients.

If you look at Beechwood's MRI pictures (don't have time to do the search), the bone pressing on his jugulars is the Atlas!

sorry, don't flag posts I've submitted--just happened to be looking for something and saw your post.
Definitely worth getting your atlas, C1 adjusted--it was like a miracle when she first hit on the correct movement.
Yes, the chiro work continued, til I was stabilized--but most of the work after the intial major adjustment was on back and shoulders, areas of lonnstanding stress for me--then the chiro unfortunately has taken leave for marriage and children, so looking for someone else who does the adjustments of atlas.
Have not seen a chiro for about 5 months, yet neck still basically holdling.
Want to have a chiro available in order to prevent it from getting way out of kilter again--although think it will never be so bad--happened from severe trauma, and now just the usual wear and tear of not carrying stuff correctly etc. gets it slightly out of alignment.
Meanwhile, I do a specific neck exercise each day that helps keep it stable.

My daughter (she has MS) goes to an Atlas guy in NYC. If you would like his info do pm me.

She also suffered major brain trauma after being hit by a cab in 05 along with neck and knee injuries etc. She had absolutely no MS symptoms prior to her accident and her first symptom was right leg weakness about 5 weeks after her injury. They treated her with physical therapy for months but to no avail and She was diagnosed with MS a year later. She has multiple lesions in her brain and spine.

I firmly believe that her accident was the cause of her MS.
