Hi all,
I have read in some book that stem cell treatment doesn't works well with PPMS patient.I m neither a medical person nor have i researched much on this subject but i am surprised when MS is a disorder of the immune system ,why only in case of PPMS it fails to work ?I m dxd Progressive MS,may be PPMS and wanted to have the stemcell option, though it is in a clinical trial stage. Is it neccessary in all MS cases to demage the existing immune system?
Eagerly waiting for ur responce................

Hey Bibek,

Stems Cell treatment SEEMS to be effective in patients with RRMS but the verdict is still not in yet. So far stem cells have not been effective in the treatment of PPMS. However because stem cell treatment is not currently effective for PPMS does not mean it will not be in the future. Try to hang in there!!
