they are both b3.

niacinamide is niacin + amide.
the amide basically makes it slow release so no flush.

B3 deficiency = pellagra
some B3 deficiency characteristics
CNS: Dementia; Hyperreflexia; Startle myoclonus
? Neuropathy related to other associated vitamin deficiencies

fyi b1 is thiamin. beri beri = B1 deficiency.

I was taking very high doses for eighteen months or so a few years ago but it didn't appear to be doing any good - relapses didn't abate.. (sorry to be so unenthusiastic!)

Agree with jimmylegs on this one. I don't think I would be doing this on any long term basis without liver testing.
I doubt it would be safe mixed with dmd's that require liver function test

random fact: if you take niacin and don't get the niacin flush it can mean you are deficient in polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA)s.

smelling ?

as i take vitamin B50 wit hmy lunch and i notice how dark my urine is and strong smelling.

I drink 1 - 1.5 Litres of bottled water daily so wouldn't have thought i was dehydrated.

great i was concerned i wasnt drinking enough.

does the B50 also cause strong smelling urine too?
