Anyone got rid of light/heat sensitivity?

Hi,

did anyone manage to decrease or get rid completely of their light/heat sensitivity with some natural approach/diet tricks? Summer is almost there and I already feel worse in these conditions. LDN and vit E helps a lot, but does not solve all.

Sure.

1) Colloidal silver - some drops or up to 1/4 teasp. 1x/day
2) LDN
3) Magnesium 100mg (some chelate) 1x/day
4) Selenium 100mcg 1x/day
5) Vit E 200mg 1x/day
6) Flaxseed oil 1 teasp to 1 tbsp/day
7) Zinc 50mg - occasionaly, every few days (3-4-7 days, depends)

Dairy, gluten free.
Feel good, but still light sensitive.

ok thx. how about symptoms other than light/heat issues?

can you tell me a bit more about your diet in general?

for one thing, do you think your diet provides at least 300mg of mag daily, to go with your 100 mg supplement? have you ever tried/found mag glycinate?

Most annoying is the balance problem - difficulty with standing and simultaneously tracking objects with eyes, especially when I am tired at work (PC) - I am afraid of falling. During weekends, holidays, when I am not at work, the main problem is some fatigue, but I feel 95% good then. Exercise weights helps for the standing.

I try to emulate TW's diet - lots of greens, some meat + rice (chicken), some eggs (3-4 weekly), some fish. I loosed some weight, ca 16 lbs on that diet, so probably my daily calories count is below an optimal threshold.

I am not sure about the 300mg limit. I take 100 mg of magnesium diglycinate.

ok for one thing just since you are not certain about the mag intake, you could try adding another 100mg of your magnesium supplement at a different time of day each day, to see if you notice any improvement.

as for hitting your daily dietary target, you can just use google usually to find amounts of given nutrients per serving.

spinach and swiss chard both provide about 150mg of mag per one cup cooked serving (spinach boiled one minute and drained, or chard boiled three minutes and drained).

brown rice provides about 80mg per cup (compare 12mg of mag in a cup of white rice!)

a 1 cup serving of cooked sweet potato gets you about 30mg.

i don't have time to work out what nutrients might specifically link to your particular symptoms, but figuring out if you have a dietary/supplemental mag issue is a pretty easy first step for now :)

for Mg, sipping magnesium bicarbonate water throughout the day may be a great way to go.

Recipe for Magnesium/Bicarbonate Water
This is a form of magnesium that is highly absorbable.

This recipe allows one to easily make the water, instead of paying high prices for bottled mineral water.

I have found sufficient hydration to be essential in preventing heat sensitivity.

By sufficient I mean about one half ounce of water for every pound of body weight (in pounds).
For example, if a person weighs 100 pounds, then:
100 pounds / 2 = 50 ounces per day.

not forgetting the fatty acid and such that you need to actually be able to make proper use of said water..
