Daughter's "treatment"

Have never seen anything on these boards about a doctor in the Netherlands who treats diseases with natural supplements. LONG story short...a mother at my daughter's dance school had a 17 year old son disagnosed with Hodgin's Disease. After tons of chemo and a stem cell transplant, the disease was raging. The young man was given 4 months to live (last year in May). His mother found this doctor in the Netherlands (I had read about him), sent blood sample, her soon took 12 weeks of supplements. He had his follow-up last month--one year later. NO HODGIN'S DISEASE! His oncologist said, "You should not be sitting in my office today!" My daughter decided to give it a try (I was shocked!) She is still on all of her MS medication, but has regained all the feeling in her left hand (been numb for 2 years), her weak leg is fine, no more bladder problems, no more fatigue, no more itching on her arms (has had since 1999 before being diagnosed and literally scatches the skin off of her arms. Takes 1600 m. of Neurontin and 800 m. of Tegretol a day for the itching.) I do NOT understand what is happening! Hay anyone else ever tried this and with what results????

i have not heard of this doctor, but he sounds RIGHT UP MY ALLEY.

i am on all natural supplements so far, based on some advice from a naturopath and a LOT of my own research.

if i behave, all goes well. if i go off the program, i start to backslide a little.

in general i am SO much better than at the start of this attack.

Without more specific information, it is next to impossible for anyone to answer that question. In addition to sharing the info regarding which supplements this doctor recommends, it would also be great if you were willing to share the name of the doctor or at least which research/clinical facility he is associated with in the Netherlands.

I have no problem posting info about the doctor in the Netherlands as long as I am not breaking any rules here! (The doctor is not free!) You can find info at Vonner.com. There is an office in Atlanta (my daughter called them first). I do not have that number but could get it. I don't know what the supplements are--they are sent by Dr. B. One is called "Nervox" but I cannot find anything on the internet about it. He believes MS is a mutated form of Lyme Disease; however, my daughter's diagnosis was a strep infection. Her treatment is for 5 1/2 months and the cost was $550. Once you finish, you are finished! The lady she talked to in Atlanta had been in bed with MS for 10 years and is fine now! Anyway--my daughter continues to improve in an amazing way! She is beyond excited; her husband and I are still being "cautious". No one wants the heardbreak of a let-down. She says she feels just like she did before any of her symptoms ever started and she will enjoy--LOL! I am sure all of you who have this hideous disease probably understand exactly what she is saying!!!

Apparently the cost would be anywhere from $150 on up. My daughter chose to do some other treatments. They are supplements. If anyone wants the Atlanta number, let me know.

...and some more info!

Just chatted with my daughter and asked some more questions. Neither one of us have said much--just too stunned at the results she's experiencing! The place in Atlanta is called "Vonner Health". Years ago, a preacher from Atlanta was terminally ill. In an effort to save him, he ended up with this doctor in the Netherlands. The preacher was completely cured using Dr. B's supplements. The church established the Atlanta connection because the preacher wanted everyone to know about this doctor. The doctor in the Netherlands treats citizens over there and got into this in an effort to find something that would save his friend from a terminal illness. He is supposedly a "real" doctor. That's all I know right now. Any questions, please let me know.

The problem with this thread

The problem with this thread and numerous ones that have preceded it is that it promises a cure and offers little to no info behind the claim. I'm not doubting you, I'm applying a reasonable amount of skeptisim. Reason: Seamingly every month there is a new claim that has both of these elements, 1) It's a cure and 2) There are no details. If you read through this site it's a serious site, we are all knowledgable about some facet of this disease here. There's a lot of documented info on this site with links to real sources like medical journals. So you have to understand that if you show up here with no record of accuracy and make an astonishing claim, many will look at you as if you are a Mannatech Multi-Level Marketing Zombie.

So here's the challenge, Get some real info about this stuff and post it for scrutiny. What are the ingredients? How are they supposed to work? Believe me, if someone discovered a cure, you don't think they'd be after the Nobel Prize? You don't think they'd be looking to make hundreds of millions of dollors off the discovery? You don't think they would seek professional acknowledgment from the medical community for being a modern day Jonas Salk? Think, just think. napay

Actually--there is tons of information. What I should have said is that "I" don't have the information! My daughter does! Each supplement comes with a detail description of the purpose--no secrets here! Also, the folks in Atlanta will talk to you for 1 minute--or 10 hours. My daughter talked to the lady for 3 hours. Furthermore, had my daughter not known of the experience of one of her mothers ( a nurse), she probably would not have even given this a second thought! Not only did the mother get the supplements for her son, she did so with the full blessing of his oncologist--who, as I said, when he examined the lady's son in May, said he should not be alive!! So again, I apologize for being so sketchy. My main purpose for even initiating the post was to see if anyone else had ever heard of this! So my comments were REALLY brief! Again, I will provide the Atlanta phone number for anyone who is interested and the website is Vonner.com. The results for my daughter are real--and I don't know why!

P.S.

Do I think that if someone found a "cure" for MS, they would be celebrated??? Absolutely not!!! You and I have a very different understanding of the medical community. The one thing they DO NOT want is a cure! The loss of revenue would be devastating! Just look at the stomach ulcer and the 30 years it took to convince the medical community it was caused by a bacteria! Look what Lorenzo's oil went through to finally be accepted. Look at the drug trials currently being conducted by the MS Society--Avonex vs. Rebif, Betaseron vs. Copaxone, etc., etc.. Why or why are they conducting drug trials on CURRENT MS drugs??? Does not make sense to me (but it does if you look at it from a $ viewpoint.) If a doctor were to say "I have a cure and it only costs a few cents and it is natural supplements", he would probably be shot at dawn!

I personally have an incurable disease--no one knows what causes it--no treatment, no cure---intersistal cystitis. I can completely "cure" it with diet and supplements but don't tell my doctor that! Listen--I know exactly what you are saying. I really believe in traditional medication and I also believe in homeopathic too. All the great things happening to my daughter could disappear tomorrow and I know that! But this doctor cured Hodgin's Disease--totally incurable according to the young man's doctor. I am simply trying to find out if anyone else has had experience with this treatment. No one has to use it or even ask about it--that is certainly fine. So no offense meant here and I won't mention it again!!!

vonner details please

hi chris i went to vonner.com and it does seem very plausible to me. it just looks like they've had more time researching along the same lines we all do here, except they've gone into production with a multi-stage, broad spectrum multi-supplement, whereas i just keep a local nutrition store in business trying out various things!

some here would disagree with the need to get rid of parasites. there has been some discussion suggesting that we need them because we evolved with them. someone told me that when you get rid of parasites in a human population, that incidence of allergies skyrockets.

i am curious about what's in the multis described on the 'target system' page at vonner.com. can you please put up a post that has the name, dosage, and ingredients for each product that your daughter took? that would be very informative. many of us would be able to then say, oh, i see, if it has that in it, i've read tons of studies about that stuff and how it works.

I would rather give you the number to the Atlanta office. That way you can call and discuss at length! My daughter and husband are on a camping trip this week but she said she will get me the phone number when she gets back. I will share then.

I have to echo the concerns of notasperfectasyou. Aimspro was another classic example - the doctor at the top of my road was one of those giving it out on an informed consent basis. Lots of press coverage about people with MS throwing away their canes etc. Then the trials - which were either aborted or showed no real benefit.

MS is a disease where myelin, axons and neurons are destroyed. As more pathways are destroyed - disability increases. The brain shrinks, as does the spinal cord. How on earth would taking a few tablets regrow the lossed brain tissue etc. If treatments like this really worked then they would spread like wildfire and no-one would be sitting in a wheelchair.

I'm glad your daughter is feeling better Chris - but I doubt whether the potions she has got from the Dutch Doc are the reason. This story I'm afraid ranks alongside mad Dave (beatms).

supplements can too work.

i think a few pills can alter crappy body biochemistry to arrest damaging cycles. then things can happen properly. maybe some damage is permanent. maybe some aspects of this can be healed. after all, when we break a bone, or tear the skin, it magically reappears. if we continually shut car doors on our fingers, sure they stay damaged, but if we change the behaviour, healing begins.

i remain curious as to the composition of these supplements. i will not be suprised if we find the contents are supported in research. if the company won't disclose the contents, that's another matter.

let me be clear, i don't imagine straight nutrition is the answer for all - but i think it could be for me. i think i'm in the dietary subset of ms :) i have been too strict a vegan for too long and all my body biochem is way out of whack as a result. the typical low b12, low D, and low uric acid found in MS are also low to absent in a strict vegan diet. there are other problems with vegan diet which i have manifested and may also be contributing to my condition.

i have noticed changes from supplements, once in as little as a few hours, when suddenly i could feel my fingers again, enough to type (that was a big bunch of b vitamins).

i used to get numb feet, and when it got to stumbling, i would take b12 for a few days, and back the feet would come (and the coordination). i would suddenly just feel a little pins and needles, and then i would be like, oh, hello again, feet!

i have also noticed improvements that are not directly related to ms. supplements obviously have merit or they wouldn't be recommended in daily amounts by our governments. i believe we are what we eat, extremely literally. so ya. no longer a vegan.

Jimmy,

Unfortunately the brain / CNS is the one organ which doesn't repair itself - what we loose doesn't get replaced (although some re-myelination can occur).

It's interesting that you were a vegan - some commentators suggested that it was milk that contributed to getting MS and others that it was meat.
