Relapses in spring

Hi,

My relapses, when I used to have them (haven't had one for 11 years) used to occur in the spring. I thought this was related to allergies but the more recent reseach the spring relapses are probably the result of Vitamin D shortages. It seems we don't spend time in the sun and get D3 in the winter. When I started taking D3 supplements regularly the relapses went away and stayed away.

I do still have nasty allergies. The worst is my stuffy nose. I use a NeilMed bottle and saline solution to rinse my sinuses at least once a day and this really works! One of my brothers who has allergies told me about this method and, of course, I needed to see the research. I checked it out and, sure enough, the research shows those darned sinus rinses help reduce reliance on inhalers that cost $90 each! Now with my sinus rinses (two times a day in peak allergy season), I can even get by without the inhalers.

Doing sinus rinses takes a little getting used to. Now, I love it and don't want to go to bed until I've washed my face and rinsed my sinuses. LOL
