that could be your b vitamins. esp b1. i knew this, but had not personally experienced it until the other day. sure enough i had been slacking on my b-complex shockingly. i took b-complex this week. the symptom was gone after the first one but i kept on taking the b complex like a good girl ever since.
if you give it a try, let me know how it works out!

Thanks JL,
I am actually on B1 400mg a day plus B12 sublingual and a multi. To be honest though I only have gone back on them in the last couple of days as well asn the nystagmus is already improving:) I am also back on my health kick of lot of greens and spirulina and liver detox. I think I have had a minor relapse but since taking care of myself again I feel it going.
Fingers crossed x

no probs LR, good to hear that you've re-started the bs and that things are improving! keep us in the loop on that nystagmus... if you keep up the b vits and it does go away completely, that's important anecdotal stuff for readers here to have available!

as for the liver, how much zinc do you get each day? do you know what your uric acid level is?

In my multi there is 15mg Zinc. I also take an extra 30mg some days (not everyday though) not sure what my levels are I will get them checked.

good idea! u may have already read this from me but here it is anyway: optimal zinc, ~18.2 umol/L, optimal UA ~290-300 umol/L. UA level is related to zinc level, both low (yet so-called 'normal') in ms.

L,

In trying to answer another question, I came across this:

http://tinyurl.com/ydz8ej7

It's not exactly natural, but the trial is taking place in the UK.

I didn't mean to suggest the nystagmus is congential. I'll let L speak for herself, but the reason I posted the link was the "acquired" part. And, it said they were looking at a subgroup of MS patients who developed nystagmus.

I saw the aquired part. Yes mine is aquired and is very mild (in one eye when I look to the far right/left) its just annoying sometimes.

how is it today, LR? would you sign up for a study like that? when i noticed mine a while back it was weird, i was just lying sideways on my bed talking on the phone, staring at the ceiling, and noticed the ceiling light jumping back and forth. went away pretty fast though.

I probably wouldn't commit to a study like that at the moment as I am focused on trying to find a way of addressing MS as a whole. I am following CCSVI and I am considering the idea of immune ablation via chemo or something. I am going to see how I do with the natural options for a while whilst I am very focused on it...If I don't feel like I have control over the disease I will look at the poisonous drug options! The CCSVI I will probably do anyway.

i feelm the same i think.. i know the drugs are supposed to be the most help used early, but i do feel like i have things under control right now with diet, exercise, supplementation and testing. but i imagine things could get to a point where i would take the drugs.
as for ccsvi i haven't even had a chance to bring it up with my doc yet, but i might look into getting tested.
good luck figuring out your solutions! it's a confusing road :)
