Antibiotics for Treating MS in Canada

I have read Dr.David Wheldon's recommendations for treating Chlamydia Pneumoniae, often present in MS patients. I have downloaded the .pdf from his site, which inludes a literature review and sample dosing schedule. Now comes the hard part. I have to find a doctor who will prescribe these antibiotics. I am quite sure that my neurologist will laugh me out of the room, and my GP will probably not want to prescribe a bunch of antibiotics for something that is not her specialty. She will tell me to see the aforementioned neuro. classic catch-22.

Is there anyone here in the Greater Toronto Area who can, possibly, recommend an open-minded GP?

i wish i could help but I don't know anyone.

i would still try your GP. not like you have much to lose from trying. if you bring all your reseasrch and show her you know what you are doing, she might be more receptive.

good luck.

If you can't get the antibiotics, you might want to try jimmylegs' supplement program. I thought CAP was the only "harmless" thing to do about my ms. It turns out it wasn't exactly harmless (not tragically harmful after just 3.5 months and helpful to many) and jimmylegs' supplement method likely does a lot to combat the bad stuff going on in our bodies.

NAC at 2400mg per day should keep cpn from spreading as it kills emergent bodies. Good luck!

hi manda, i'm in the GTA ... but as anon mentions, i have a different (nutritional) approach to the idea of treating chronic infection. the idea is simple, feed your body and thereby your immune system, so that you are not susceptible to infection. the nutrients do way more than help fight infection so you kill a hundred birds with one stone, as it were.

i don't have any proven cases wrt CPn specifically, but as for chronic mono i do have a success story re someone (family friend) that was ill for yrs before nutritional mods, and after implementing a therapeutic dietary and supplement regimen, tests came back clean. food sensitivities also vanished on follow up testing.
on a personal note, i don't get common colds since optimizing my nutritional status. and i no longer react poorly to gluten.

all my info is in my regimen thread on nutrition.

Hi I'm new and in the GTA. Just wondering if anyone has found a GP or naturopath who is treating MS with antibiotics or found a way to order antibiotics on-line into Canada.

Thanks!

I've tried LDN and am still on the Terry Wahls Diet, but I'm slipping and am ready for something else.

Find a naturopath....They have the same prescribing rights as a MD and light years more progressive!
