Well, don't. Just take the antibiotics: that's the really important part. The NAC can come later. I said that I didn't take it until at east 18 months, probably more.

Lots of people find it difficult, I didn't, but if you carry on in agony, you might just give up the whole lot, which wouldn't be wise.

I am so sorry you are in so much pain. Go slowly with things and just do what Sarah says. I am sure it is frustrating when you are in pain and want this to be all bettter, but if you just start with something you'll feel better just knowing you are doing something positive for yourself. I hope for pain free days in the very near future for you!

I am in the rare group with virtually no reaction to many of the protocol's components, so I don't speak from experience here.

The NAC is, yes, important. But no one says you have to do what I did and take the whole protocol, vitamins and adjuncts included, together on the first day and every day thereafter. The idea is to work up to it, always with an eye toward not developing resistance, of course.

If working up to it means one NAC pill today and one next week and two the week after that, so be it. Reaction means bacterial kill, so you have some comfort in that. Take more when you feel able.
