Up your CoQ10. It helped me through rough patches and everyone I've recommended it to says it makes them 'feel good', MS or healthy.

If you can do it, AlphaLipoic acid and acetyl L carnitine will help to push the garbage out of your system faster, too.

I don't see a probiotic there. Eat yoghurt or take a pill, so you don't create more problems for yourself. We actually need some of those bugs the antibiotic zaps!

No, the others won't have the NAC effect. As for the CoQ10, I was eating them like candy at first, since I was still in the middle of an MS attack and the CoQ10 calmed the tremors and weak feeling in my legs and left arm.

Recommended amount is 200mg daily. I was probably taking 600mg on bad days, then backed off when I realized I didn't 'need' it anymore, maybe two weeks later. Once the abx kicked in at about ten days, it took care of my worst symptoms and I took the CoQ10 back down to recommended levels, except during a little rough patch here or there in the next two years. Today, I take the 200mg/day and probably will keep it in my regimen after I go intermittent on abx next year.

You're doing fine. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other, so to speak.

I know what you mean about taking charge. I had no one to help me and I completely lost it when the eye doctor said optic neuritis meant MS. I went crazy, researching and scratching for info. I simply couldn't believe the concept that my body had suddenly decided to start chewing on its own myelin for no good reason. Now, chlamydia pneumoniae bacteria... there's a reason I could comprehend, AND do battle with. And I won.

Hi Shell, sorry I've been a bit thin on the ground these last few days, but everyone seems to have been taking good care of you.

For about the first month of takiing abx, I sweated profusely at night, in addition to tossing and turning, trying to get comfortable. This gradually faded but it was a long time before I was back to normal. I didn't take NAC then, so I can't say how it would have affected me, but like Mac, I took far more CoQ10 than the recommended 200 mg. I still do sometimes. This is a list I made for people starting or for moving onto intermittent: CPn Help/sarahs_beginners_guide__0

Several things are combined to lessen the need to take too many supplements. They also all come from the same place to make ordering easier. Have a look through. You don't have to take them all, but B complex plus C, B12 and a choice of antioxidants are a very good thing, alog with the probiotics.
