Sorry, Shell!

My answer is yes, but I am speaking only for me. Our pain is uniquely (really?) our own, but you obviously can barely bear it - but bear it you are. I had to outlast it and did. It took months and when it left a particular site, that place was much, much better. I am 67 years old and was becoming amazingly arthritic. It is now at least 95% gone, and on good days, ALL gone. This doesn't happen, according to experts.

We are all rooting for you, its the best we can do. If we could we would share the pain... but we can't. Patience and courage are needed here and some people like you and Rica (Katman) need more than most because of the pain.
Keep going like you are until things feel a little easier and then you can add another 100mg of doxycycline. Once you have killed a few Cpn bugs it will get easier.
If you were not doing something to some nasty bugs in your body you would not be feeling the pain. Doxycycline does not give people pain if there is nothing to kill...

I am sorry for the pain you are in. You are brave to continue this treatment. But as the others said, and I believe also, that it only makes sense that the antibiotic is doing its job. So keep on going, with the thought that you are going to see the results. It's too bad it has to be so painful for you to get there but don't give up. We are all rooting for you!!

Shell, There will be days you know you can't do this, but WE know you can! And we'll be here telling you so any time you need to hear it.
