That is funny I was just wondering the same thing! Maybe if we have to ask, we are old enough!

Yes, if one does ask, we are there. Being one I thought I would take a look to see if anyone posting here. I have been dx possible MS since 2002 and told I did not need to have a Lyme disease test because I did not show the symptoms. Saw another neurologist last Dec. and he ordered all kinds of tests and one was for Lyme disease. It came back reactive on the EIA and non reactive on Western Blot. Lab asked for another test to be done and same result, they asked for a third test and same result on EIA and the lab said they did not do another Western Blot because they had already done two. Have been researching Lyme disease and many of the same symptoms. Waiting for a test kit from IGeneX labs in California. With my research this is the lab to use to see if it is Lyme disease. Anyone else have a Lyme disease test? If so, what were your results? Seems I have started another journey and still no clear answers. Could still be MS but the last Neurologist said he did not think my problems were neurological. He saw my central nervous system problems but did not think the tests he ordered, EMG's etc., showed it was. Seems a mystery. Saw the Neurologist once, not again. My family Dr. got the report and we went over. She was not impressed. Felt there were things he should have followed up on and he asked her to do. No reasons or suggestions why. She sent me to an Infectious disease specialist who ordered more tests and told me there would be no follow up unless tests showed there should be. She has not called me back. Need to see my family Dr. for the resport. Do know all but the Lyme disease tests were normal. That was the third test without the Western Blot. Meeting in Vancouver, B.C. Canada on Monday where a Dr., who has treated Lyme Disease, now retired and teaching other Dr's how to diagnose and treat as well as help people who may have, is speaking. Going to and hope to make some decisions re testing etc. Canadian Dr.'s are not up on Lyme disease and how to test for or treat. If I do find out this is what I have may be hard to get treatment here in Canada. Thoughs from other? Linda

Our PBS TV channel is running an "ad" lately that may apply there: "Old enough to have courage; young enough to have curiosity."
