Yes, and my friends own that 3 places, here in Zagreb.... Carom&Pool clubs "Zagreb", "Silver Ant", "Balabuska", "Divna", "Mosconi" and some privat places.
My first start in billiards was in 1975 with 9" carom table, then I switch to 12". I play in Zagreb 3c representation in match against Trieste (Italy) and Graz (Austria) clubs 5 years in a row... We play three times a year, host provided all food and drink.... Great time ;)

Last year I try Carom3d online game... I am an Expert level now... But don't play often any more.

12"? I assume that's 12 feet.

A 12 foot carom table? I didn't know they came that big. I only ever saw one carom table, and it didn't last long. The pool room owner took it out, since everyone here plays 8 or 9 ball.

One pool room I went to did have a snooker table (only 1, of course).

Yes, you'r right, I made mistake. 5' by 10' for carom match play table (12' is snooker table). We have some old carom italian Pietro Mari tables, and the newer ones are Verhoeven (Belgian). And they are all heated. My carom cue is italian Longoni - 4 stars.

Heated tables? Can't say I ever heard of that.

It's been a while since I've had my cue out. Between you mentioning billiards, and watching women's billiards on ESPN last weekend, I'm starting to get the itch to go the pool hall.

Carom match play tables have heater wires under (or inside - like we have in our's old Pietro Mari tables) stone table plates to keep top surface worm and table canvas dry. It is important for static electricity forming between table canvas and traveling plastic balls. That reduce friction between ball and canvas and ball is traveling far and longer. If you find somewere carom table, look for the electic cord, ON/OFF switch or control light, or just put your palm on the table - when the switch is ON ;)
