Newly diagnosed

Hello, I am new here. I was diagnosed with MS a few weeks ago. I woke up one day and the left half of my body was very weak. I could hardly move my leg. I limped around for a week thinking that any day it would get better, but it never did. Eventually I went to the emergency room. They did a cat scan and told me I either had had a stroke, had MS, or a brain tumor. Needless to say, they admitted me, ran tests and it is MS. I watched my aunt die from MS. It is the only illness I have seen someone die from in my life. I'm 23, still pretty young. I always though MS seemed like such an awful illness and now I have it. Quite honestly I really don't know what to think about it. Any advice on what I can expect with this illness would be much appreciated.

welcome Citrus. Sorry for what you are going thru. you found a good group of people to help you.

i cannot offer much advice except to say don't wait. do whatever you can now (research, diet, CCSVI, back/neck adjustments, drugs etc.).

if you can get them to run tests on serum b12, zinc, magnesium, vitamin d3, and ferritin, that could tell you a lot about whether you match the nutritional profile of an ms patient and give you a road map forward for correcting any suboptimal levels. (they will all come back *normal* and *fine* but the research shows where the healthy places are within so-called normal ranges). read, read, read and learn, learn, learn! if i could say i am happy about one thing to do with ms, it is how much having this diagnosis has taught me about human health in general, and my own responsibility for my health in particular! good luck and have fun with the learning curve :) if you have any questions, ask away!
