Took Part in the Local Walk MS Event

Hi gang,
I just wanted to share my experience as a first time participant in a MS Walk. Our walk was here in Charlotte this past Saturday, March 29th. I walked on the team my support group has. It's called MIND over Body (MIND = minimally impared/newly diagnosed). The team raised almost $2,800.00 for our local chapter. I surprised myself by raising just over $600.00 from 45 different people, even complete strangers.
I don't know how many people were there but it seemed like over a thousand. There was one team of elementary school kids that raised over $10,000. I guess no one can resist a sob story from a teary eyed little kid
Here is a link to the Mid-Atlantic Chapters picture sharing webpage if you are interested is seeing what it was like

I'm in the third picture of the group. That's me in the middle with the hat and sunglasses.
I encourage everyone that has the oppotunity and can to participate in one of these. It felt great!
