Sorry for the bluntness of the title.

I am 30 and no longer achieve erections without some help, but for the past couple of weeks I haven't been able to keep an erection even during the act itself, which is really embarrassing and dejecting. However, I still wake up with morning wood every day. Can anyone explain this phenomenon with any certainty? Are they completely separate, or am I not getting aroused by my wife?

Nothing wrong with being blunt - at least I knew what you were talking about.

The mechanical process in both situations is the same however the trigger mechanisms are very different. I've always thought morning wood was nature's way of telling us the best time of day to have sex is when we wake up, not when we go to bed.

There is no doubt that this disease can also have an effect on our ability to perform. I doubt it has anything to do with your wife. It is something to discuss with your Dr. however.

I am 35 years old and have been using Viagra, etc. for at least 3 years. For the past year I have been having difficulty achieving orgasm due to numbness, and now in the midst of an exacerbation for the past month I have had no luck at all. This is perhaps the most frustrating mental challenge I have faced with MS since my diagnosis 7 years ago. The outlook seems bleak when faced with losing something that is so fundamental and important in life. Having a patient and understanding partner is key, but they will be going through the rollercoaster of emotions with you.

I hope your symptoms get better. Keep up hope, but more importantly keep the pills close

Morning Wood and keeping your johnson up during sex are two different thngs. I went to my Urologist and he got me back on the right track. Keep your wife/partner informed of your feelings and what you are trying to do to correct it before it becomes a bigger problem.
