Procurement scheduled!

Howdy all,

Marcia and I, we're both doing the study here in Lexington, Ky, are officially scheduled for our procurement blood draw next Monday, May 5! I guess it could be simply coincidence but I have been contacted within a day every time I have called Opexa and left a message for Shannon letting her know that I need to know MRTC test results, I need to be contacted about procurement or LifeBlood needs to contact me about scheduling procurement.

So my suggestion is that if whatever step is taking longer than you were told, give Opexa a call. It seems to put things in motion.

Take care,
Mike

Ditto what Mike said. Oh and if you can't get the fire lit under anyone just ask Mike. He seems to be the Golden Child with Shannon at Opexa.

Man, that's just what I had to do. You know what they say about the squeeky wheel. Good luck you two, and by the way, I got my second extension injection today.

Have you begun to notice any improvements?

I'm holding mum for now. Remember that Tim said that real protection begins after the third dose. I've seen some minor stuff change and it's all been in the right direction. I'm going to leave it right there for about a month so I'm sure it's not normal MS ups and downs. I'd like to chalk it up to Tovaxin, but I don't want to get my hopes up and have my legs cut out from under me. I don't know how many more times I can take getting the wind taken out of my sails. I already have my 3rd dose appt. scheduled for 5/27, and then I'll wait ten days and really lay out how I feel; good or bad. I can hardly wait until about two months from now and see how I feel. Like I said, I'll post with as much objectivity as I can muster and hope like hell that I have a good story to tell. I really am not superstitious about it, but we all know about good days and bad days and I just can't bring myself to post anything only to have it turn out to be just a couple of good days.

One thing I will say is that my research nurse (you know the only unblinded people in the trial) did tell me that there are people having some very positive things happen. He wouldn't tell me anymore than that since we all are still blinded as to what happened last year, but that was at least encouraging. He didn't say "the people that got the real stuff are doing great", but he did say that there are people in the study who are doing great. I can only draw one conclusion from that and that is maybe this stuff is going to work. God I hope so.

I guess stay tuned because you guys know I get windier than a bag full of assholes when I have something to say  .
