Hi Gang.

Was supposed to have my procurement here in Chicago (well, Northbrook, which is practically Wisconsin but without the cheese) this week but it was cancelled. Their rep "didn't make the flight."

I am now rescheduled for Monday 8/25.

After catching up on the last 3 weeks of bantering on here, I would only add that I have found it wise not to attribute to conspiracy and malicious intent what can more probably be thanks to incompetence.

Back in my days of dead-end employment ( ), I worked with a gal who was cattily referred to as the Queen of Pink Slips. Should I find her and see if she can send some employment termination slips to certain people? :P

Hey Patrick,
I chose to forgo the Rep coming to my site for the reasons you are now experiencing. I was drawn yesterday at my original site and then went to my trial site for the Virology panel. I'm finally back in the loop. I had an added surprise at my clinical site, my Coordinator was looking for someone to have a "dummy" MRI for a different trial, they apparently thought of me when the term dummy started flying around. It was great to finally ask my Tech about the images and get straight answers and get a folder full of hard copies. It was less than exciting to see them, maybe it wasn't really a great idea after all! It certainly confirmed my placebo theory unless Tovaxin is designed to increase lesions at an astounding rate. Really, really ready for the injections now.
Good luck and take care,
Lars
PS Mike, for the record; Lars procured 8/14/08

Didn't make the flight? That's wasted $$$$$$.

It would have been cheaper for them to fly YOU out to THEM! (wife of airline pilot and a pilot).

I got dosed today finally. Now the count down to the 100th day begins.

I didn't do any peg or math tests only the long walk. The vial content looked slightly murky/cloudy unlike during IIb when it looked clear. The injections were slightly painful but no site reactions.

I am really tired this afternoon but it could be from the 17 vials of blood they took.

That's my story for now.

Congratulations Marcia!

I know I was always tired after the blood draw, too, that's a lot of blood!

but I FINALLY got the call with the start date of September 19! I guess 7.5 weeks late isn't too awfully overdue (10 weeks were over for me on July Twenty-Eighth)... if one is prepping for birthing a baby elephant? :D

warning: try using the number eight and you get the smilie! 8O

This post in the FAQ thread discusses options for dealing with this problem though I like your solution as well.

Jane and Bob ('s wife)
Congrats and thanks for the post. Bob, is it me or has it been a really long time for your wife's procurement? When are you going to give us your wife's name so we can stop referring to her as "your wife"?
Peace,
Lars

That's GREAT news Jane and Jamie! Onward and upward!

I've been updating everyone's schedule as y'all have posted dates but take a look at it just to make sure I've got it right. Sweetyhide and Marcia, to get your schedules up to date let me know when your next injections are.

See ya',
Mike
