Thanks Marlene!

I just read that, seems that they keep 'em in between chemo and reboot.

How are you doing?

Mel's still doing well.

Anyone know how much the treatment costs at Chicago for those of us with inadequate insurance ?

I can tell you the treatment is at least $30k at JH with an additional $50k if the treatment goes awry .

Still cheap if it gets some quality of life back !

Peace

Can anybody out there tell me who to contact at Rush in Chicago? I called the MS center at 312-942-8011 and the little girl who answered had no idea what I was talking about and told me to call Northwestern for the stem cell transplant. Thanks :D

Try the Rush Multiple Sclerosis Center Phone number 312 942 8011.
The address is 1724 Harrison St. Chicago, Il. The number you called is correct but insist on talking to one of the nurses or leave a message for the doctors to give you a call back.

When you call, make sure to call it immune ablation not HiCy.

Guess what, Rush has apparently been flooded with inquiries today, hmm....wonder why. Does anyone know if the Rush therapy is identical to Revimmune? As you know, they don't respond to that name.

It's the same exact protocol.

Please start a new post saying what it is called there.

I spoke with Melinda at Rush and discovered a few things. 1.) Although similar to Revimmune it is not exactly the same treatment program. 2.)The study at Rush is apparently designed for Progressive patients. 3.) The Rush study is for those who have not responded to other treatment options. I don't think failure to perfectly align with the study protocol is a deal breaker just more hoops to jump through.
