Temporary Stinging Negation - Massage

We have been on Copaxone for about 6 months. There is about 5 minutes of stinging that follows each injection. While we do clean the site with alcohol we fan it dry for more than a minute and it's not the cause of the stinging.

For Christmas we had massages.

Following the massage, NO STINGING for 2-weeks! Serioulsy. None! Now, we cannot afford to have 26 massages a year, but we tried it one more time a few weeks after the stinging returned and yup, you got it - NO STINGING again! It lasted about 2-weeks again and we are now back to stinging.

Does anyone have thoughts about how this might work? I tried massaging the site a bit before the injection a few times to see if it would help, but this had no effect.

1) Does anyone else have experience with this?
2) Why might this work? How might it work?
3) Are there other ways you have found to reduce the stinging?

here is an idea that could help with the cost of massages. we have recently had 2 dif friends complete massage therapy school. it seems that a lot of smaller and community type colleges r now offering this as an accelerated program for people to start carreers etc. one idea may be to contact those schools and see if they need volunteers for students? it would be kinda like going to dental school for tooth work or hair school for hair cuts hehe. they r not out of school but most r ready to be.

also if that is not an option a lot of people who finish their schooling do not get a job right away. it may be possible to get in touch with a recent grad. if u can ask them if they can give u a discount based on medical condition and amount of massages recieved. both of our friends have said that even not including a medical condition they would be willing to discont servies for guaranteed work. help them getting started and all.

I dont know if this will help but its just a thought i had after watching both our friends go through, finish, and then work to get started afterwards.
