NORD - for non citizens?

Hi,
I am a student here in USA on F1 visa status. Of course I did not intend to be diagnosed with MS, but turns out my student health insurance coverage does not really cover copaxone. I have a cap on pharma drug spending which does not even cover one month and the cap is for a year.
I have been referred to NORD, but I am unsure if they will sponsor a non citizen. I understand they have a policy against discrimination, but I get a bad feeling that their policy does not extend beyond citizenship boundaries. (which is understandable)
Could anyone please tell me if there is a way I can get someone to help with my medication for one year? I am hoping I will be able to go back to my home country or get a job by then. I ask this as my Doctor has suggested that I start on the medication asap.
Thank you for your help
