I'm one day shy of a month on Copaxone. I also hate injecting my thighs the most. They bleed more than other spots and I have larger lumps for longer periods of time. And they itch the worse. I use the Autoject and my setting is right above the 6. So just the top part of the 6 is showing. I haven't changed the setting or even thought about changing but maybe I should practice with different ones now that I'm somewhat use to it.

I also have a questions. Maybe a handful of times I've noticed that once I'm done injecting some of the medicine is oozing out. I know I wait long enough to remove it. In fact, I wait a little longer just to be safe. Could this be happening because the needle isn't going deep enough? I'll wipe the meds away and a little bit more will seep out but that's about all.

The small amount of med leaking I do not think is a big deal. Try moving away from the center either towards the left or right. And try this set the needle to 8. I know that is deeper and I cringed, but for me there was less pain and less bleeding. A nurse explained to me I because this is a Sub Q you want to get into the fatty area but not the muscle. Sire enough she was right, too shallow and I get lumps(set 6), and too deep and it really hurts(set 9)

Don't go off your meds, talk to your Doc or Shared Solutions

I think I'll slowly creep up the depth ladder. I'm too chicken to jump from 6 to 8 but I'll try something deeper.

Thank you!

My experience has been if medicine is showing that you did not go deep enough. I would be careful with the suggestion to set it to 8 - given that you are around 5.75 or so right now. Go too deep and you will hit a muscle and that is where the pain is not a sting but a PUNCH.I go between 5 and 5.75 depending on the spot on the thigh. Don't be afraid to switch it around to get the right setting because once you have it right it gets much easier.

Also, the stinging will subside after a while, but it has not disappeared full for me yet - after 11 months. I just am better at ignoring it.

8 Maybe too deep but make sure you try up and not down. 5-5.75 is shallower
