I had my bank send euros from my Canadian $ account...I had to go back and forth a few times with Marta before I got all the required info, including proper account number, name and address of the bank in which their account is located. I think we are the first to go through this process, and there seem to be wrinkles to be ironed out before the procedure is problem free.

Richard

wrinkles?????????

hope there are no wrinkles in the prcedures themselves!

Alby...were you not given the option to pay on arrival at the hospital?...in one of the emails from Marta, it said I could either pay up front or when I arrived.

Richard

Richard, don't recall

i don't recall, don't think so, i'll search through my emails.

this is a part of the email

here is part of today's email:

"The full payment of 6 400 euro has to be performed before the arrival and
the proof of payment shown at the hospital. "

6400 because i had arranged for accommodation long ago.

and no, i did not receive any email from her stating that i can pay there.

One of my emails did give me the option of paying on arrival, and initially I told Marta that that was how I was going to pay, which seemed to be acceptable to her. I then changed my mind.

So Richard, i guess you were confident enough that it was fine both way, i was not given that option, which i don't like.
but anyway what are you gonna do? i got the bank accound number in a followup email, so i might just bite the bullet and do wire transfer, in dollars equal to 6400 euros.

Hi Alby

Here's wishing you and Hanna every success with your trips to Poland.

I am in the waiting list for May and was just wondering if the new rates apply to everyone from now on.

hi Albi when are you coming to Katowice

Willm,
apparently it does, even to those who were quoted the lower price a few weeks ago, like me! Not a very good way to run a business, but what do you wanna do? I am sure they'll get their acts together in a few weeks for others who want to go, and honestly, they should because once other countries get on the band wagon, competition may change things.

Hanna,
I'll be there by midnight of 8th.
